Mission

The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, and the University of Miami Medical Group (UMMG) is dedicated to providing the highest quality of healthcare in keeping with local and national standards and maintaining safe practices that render “No Harm to the Patient”. To accomplish this mission, the UMMG has established the UMMG Office of Patient Protection and Risk Prevention (OPPRP), which collaborates with the University’s Center for Patient Safety Center in coordinating pro-active and patient-centric risk management, risk prevention, and patient safety activities throughout the University of Miami Health System.
