UMMG Leadership Council Clinical Operations Committee The Clinical Operations Committee is charged with overseeing the clinical enterprise in areas of program development and quality of care delivery, including clinical productivity, competition for limited clinical resources, behavior-related service issues, and inter-disciplinary competition for the same patient population. Clinical Practice and Professional Standards Committee The Clinical Practice & Professional Standards Committee is charged with developing practice standards and facilitating enforcement to assure professional conduct and appropriate care of patients. The committee provides the clinical enterprise with performance improvement information and recommendations, as well as assessment of tools used to assist in the management of patient care activities. Service Excellence Committee The Service Excellence Committee is a sub-committee of Clinical Practice and Professional Standards. It is charged with establishing the service performance scorecard and indicators for three key customer types: patients, referring physicians and payers. The committee reviews patient and referring physician satisfaction data and recommends strategies to address identified concerns. Additionally, the committee provides feedback and endorsement of service outreach and recovery programs. Quality Improvement and Credentials Committee The committee reviews and approves in a prompt and consistent manner the credentialing of all UMMG clinical faculty members and other selected UM and community providers. The Committee sees that the credentialing process is in conformity with the criteria of JCAHO, NCQA and contracts between UMMG and various contracted payors. Contracts Committee The committee reviews and recommends approval or rejection of all contracts between UMMG and private insurance payors to the UMMG Executive Committee. The Committee also oversees contract compliance and modification requests and makes recommendations to the UMMG Department of Business Development regarding UMMG contracting strategies and initiatives. Finance and Budget Committee The committee provides guidance and oversight to the UMMG Managing Director on budgetary issues and undertakes various policy initiatives designed to enhance the financial viability of UMMG and to promote the consistent and appropriate growth of the clinical practice. A/R Sub-Committee This Committee is a subcommittee of Finance and Budget. It provides guidance to the UMMG Finance and Budget Committee, Senior Clinical Administrators and clinical department billing managers on revenue cycle and accounts receivable policies, procedures and management. The UMMG Billing Operations Group (BOG) and the UMMG Credit Balance Steering Committee report to the A/R Committee. Membership and Benefits Subcommittee The committee oversees and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors of UMMG for additions and modifications to membership features and benefits that are available to faculty members of UMMG.
