There is nothing in life more precious than good health, though we sometimes take it for granted. When we or our loved ones are faced with a medical decision, it can be a time filled with concern and anxiety. It is often helpful to be able to turn to a comprehensive source of medical professionals to seek the best medical care and information available.

Understanding this need, the physicians and staff of the University of Miami Medical Group (UMMG) created this web site to provide access to information about the extensive medical resources we have at UMMG and the University of Miami School of Medicine.

Medicine, in all its aspects, has become increasingly complex. Many diseases are now treated with medications that were only a twinkle in the eye of the researcher several years ago.
